At the heart of BMI is the man that has been with BMI for 27 years, Mr. Don Fritche.  Don was the unsung hero behind the scenes doing all of the building for BMI while Zane was alive.  Don has carried on the tradition of BMI by continuing to build fine pedal steel guitars in the spirit and tradition of Zane Beck.

At BMI we take pride in our pedal steel guitars and each one is built rock solid.  What do we offer that the others may not?

Our Single neck guitars use the same parts regardless of the model.  There is no such thing as a "Student Model" at BMI.  We don't sell student models.  We only sell pro models.  On all of our single models you can add floors and knees to them which is not the case with some companies.  We use the same floor pedals and mechanics on a double neck that we do on a single neck.  Now, that's not say that there isn't differences in the hardware when it comes to special build to order.  Some want a specific pickup, some want Quad-Raise Changers, etc., so there are differences concerning that.

You don't have to break the bank to play a good pro model steel guitar, and that is why we are the "Working Man's Steel!"
